Johnson Realty & Investments

Brother and sister Wes and Rye Johnson established Johnson Realty & Investments in June of 2007. As Raleigh natives, they grew up in the North Hills area, where they attended Aldert Root Elementary, Daniels Middle School, and Broughton High School. Together they bring nearly 20 years of local real estate experience to their residential and commercial clients.

Rye Johnson

After graduating from Broughton High School, Rye attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she played on the national championship women's soccer team. She was also a member of Chi Omega sorority and served as rush chair.

Rye then worked with Craig Davis Properties as a Business Developer for eight years, focusing on creating value through land sales and leasing space within a diverse 4 million square foot portfolio of Class A office, retail, industrial, flex, and mixed-use projects.

She was the lead leasing agent for a 272,000 square foot project at Chapel Hill's Meadowmont Village. This $35,000,000 mixed-use environment has been the anchor for Meadowmont's Residential Development. Rye also participated in the master planning of developments such as Wakefield (located at Falls of Neuse and US-1) and Davis Park (a 198-acre site located at Davis Drive and Hobson Rd.). She was additionally involved in the re-branding of Park Center and Towne North Shopping Center.

As a member of the Triangle Area Office Building Association (TRAOBA), Rye served on the Board in 2003. She has also been a member of Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Space Magazine, a publication of the Triangle Business Journal, featured Rye as one of their Women to Watch.

Rye currently holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker's License and is a mentor with the Boys' and Girls' Clubs.

Wes Johnson

Wes has been working in Raleigh real estate for 10 years, including brokerage, development, and contracting. He is now building custom homes with his own firm, WRJ Building Company. Wes currently holds both a contractor's and broker's license.
